About the developer
Why I built Kayavak
I'm Kalyan Kaushik K N, a Senior Software Engineer in Hyderabad, India. I designed and built Kayavak end to end.
Why
Practising out loud is the most reliable way to get better at interviews and presentations, and seeing yourself is how you notice what you actually do. But most practice tools upload your face to a server, and many people won't practise on camera because of it. I wanted that feedback without the trade-off. So Kayavak runs on your own computer, keeps only movement points, and never stores your video.
What I want it to achieve
- For the people who use it: a calm, honest coach that anyone can use, free forever, with no account and nothing uploaded. Walk into the interview or onto the stage having already heard and seen yourself.
- For me: a way to learn by shipping. Computer vision in the browser, real-time 3D, local speech and AI, privacy engineering and cross-platform desktop releases, all built to a standard real people rely on, not just a demo.
- For both: proof that useful AI can be private by default and safe for everyone. Kayavak is a practice tool only, and it's built never to deal with explicit content.
