Interview practice
Practise job interviews with private AI feedback
Answer real interview questions out loud, then see exactly how you came across: eye contact, posture, pace, filler words and how long each answer took. Free, and it runs on your own computer.
How interview practice works in Kayavak
- Choose Interview and press record. Kayavak shows a question; press Next when you're ready for the next one, and it times every answer.
- Get gentle nudges while you talk, like "Come back to the camera" or "Sit tall". There's also an eye-contact meter and a microphone level.
- Review your report. You replay the session as an avatar, with a timeline of moments to review: "0:42 arms crossed for 8 seconds: open your palms".
What it gives feedback on
- Eye contact: how much of the time you look at the camera, which is your interviewer.
- Posture and gestures: slouching, crossed arms, hands near your face, and how open your gestures are.
- Pace and pauses: words per minute for each answer, and stretches that are too slow or too fast.
- Filler words and hedges: "um", "like", "I think maybe", highlighted in your transcript.
- Answer length: answers that were too short to show depth, or long enough to lose the interviewer.
See your best version
For flagged moments, Kayavak draws a corrected version of you over what you did: sitting tall, eyes on the camera, arms open. It also cleans up what you said, removing fillers, hedges and repeats. With a local AI model installed, it rewrites the whole answer and reads it back to you while your avatar says it.
Practise with a recording you already have
Have a recording of a real or mock interview? Import an MP4, WebM or MOV file. It's analysed on your computer and never uploaded, and you get the same report.
Why private matters for interview practice
Practice is where you're allowed to be bad. Kayavak never stores your video: it keeps only movement points (where your shoulders, hands and face are) and replays them as an avatar. Nothing is uploaded, there's no account, and it works offline. See how the privacy works.
